Dry Skin

Still tight after three layers of moisturiser?

Tightness that returns hours after moisturising is lipid depletion, not water shortage. Adding water alone evaporates — you have to replace the oils that hold it in. Piling on richer creams addresses the symptom and misses the barrier underneath.

Do you recognise this?

Signs of dry skin

  • Tightness after washing
  • Flaking or rough texture
  • Fine lines that weren't there before
  • Redness or sensitivity
  • Absorbs product immediately but still feels dry

Why it happens

The root cause

The skin barrier is the lipid layer that locks water in. Stress, aircon, over-cleansing and years of harsh product deplete it — so water escapes hour after hour and no cream on top fixes it. Rebuild the layer and skin holds its own moisture again. Expect 4–8 weeks; recovery is gradual by nature.
